ABOUT MY WORK
My research focuses on European politics, identity and integration. I am particularly interested in how institutions, political actors and culture shape ideas of Europe and what it means to be European. Alongside my research, I explore innovative approaches to teaching political science, using active learning, simulations, popular culture and experiential learning to bring politics beyond the textbook.

POP GOES THE EU
Framing European Identity in Popular Culture
Edited by Jennifer Ostojski
I explore how popular culture shapes the ways we imagine Europe and European identity. In Pop Goes the EU, I bring together scholars examining how European identity is represented, constructed and negotiated through popular culture — from Eurovision and football to film, television, literature and museums.

TEACHING
